The Consortium for Interpersonal Violence Interventions in Context
The Consortium for Interpersonal Violence Interventions in Context (CIVIC) is a researcher-led initiative focused on cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange and collaboration among scholars and practitioners researching interpersonal violence in local, state, national, and international contexts.
CIVIC aims to break down silos that often hinder fruitful communication and collaboration among researchers in different disciplines and to foster rigorous, interdisciplinary research to improve our understanding of and responses to interpersonal violence.
The membership consists of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and staff representing a variety of disciplines within the University of Missouri System, including social work, political science, human development and family science, public health, law, criminology and nursing.
